The **Interior Design** family is responsible for the design of interior spaces in our theme parks, primarily restaurants, retail, theaters, and attraction queue lines. They are also responsible for our hotels and cruise ships' design or design oversight. The scope of work encompasses conceptual design through contract documentation, including specifications of all materials and furnishings. It's a given that our Interior Designers have the technical expertise to do their jobs well. We're looking for professionals who have an appetite for diverse experiences, are eager to learn, and are confident they can maintain the exacting standards for which The Walt Disney Company is loved. This is a 30-month Project Hire position with no guarantee of permanent placement. **What You Will Do** + Support various projects by assisting in project design development and technical documentation. + Provide design documentation in the form of graphic illustrations, imagery boards, color renderings, and research and documentation on assigned projects. + Perform various basic technical tasks and documentation, including color & material design and documentation, basic CAD support, and FF&E design and specifications. **Required Qualifications & Skills** + Minimum one year of experience in an interior design practice or one or more professional internships. **Preferred Qualifications** + Working knowledge and experience in the practice of interior design. + Effective written and verbal communication skills. + Demonstrated thoughtful design, artistic skills, and professional judgment in problem-solving. + Demonstrated proficiency in CADD and digital illustration tools such as Creative Suite, Illustrator, and SketchUp. **Education** + A degree from an accredited interior design program. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
