Forest View Hospital, located just seven miles southeast of downtown Grand Rapids, Michigan, is a private 108 bed psychiatric facility that serves children, adolescents and adults. We are licensed by the State of Michigan, fully accredited by The Joint Commission and we bring more than 50 years of experience to the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of behavioral health problems. As a part of our continued success and growth, we are seeking qualified applicants for a Chief Operations Officer COO position .
Position Description: The COO sets leadership objectives, develops plans, staffs, and directs activities of assigned departments/areas of responsibility. This role will assists hospital leadership in the operation of the hospital, including administrative responsibility for the hospital in the absence of the CEO. In addition, the Chief Operating Officer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing hospital activities pertaining to regulatory compliance, legal issues, hospital licensing, hospital preparation for CARF/JCAHO/DBHR certification, quality assurance activities, outcomes assessment, confidentiality regulations, and medical staff management.

QualificationsEducation and Experience Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business administration, finance, clinical specialty or equivalent required. Master's degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or clinical specialty preferred.
Licenses/Certification: Healthcare professional licensure preferred.
Experience: Minimum two years' in health care administration/management. Minimum two years' experience in facility operations management, human resources management, and/or finance. Graduate level education may substitute on a year-to-year basis for the required experience. Experience with Process Improvement Methodology preferred.
